Vertical white lines during boot on T42

I just received a T42 on an impulse buy (I think I'm beginning to be a junkie), well it was a fair price with good specs. Anyway, during boot there are white vertical lines that appear for half a second, once before the thinkpad logo and the other two later on just before the Xp logo. But they don't appear during normal usage. I've searched and I found only posters with this problem during normal operation, but not on bootup.

There does not appear to be dead pixels or other issues with the LCD except those white lines during the bootup process. Model is 2373-ZRC, sxga+, etc. It does have warranty until 2009.

Should I be concerned or is it normal for this machine? Is it a sign of a dying LCD and what are my options with regards to claiming warranty on this (if it goes really bad)?

Yeah I see that on my T41 and former T42. Im not sure what causes it but I dont see any ill effect of it.

Hopefully, it's nothing but I've never seen that on any of the 9 thinkpads I've ever owned/used for any length of time.
