can I install a 15.0" UXGA LCD panel from any other lap

I have Got a T42p with 15.0" UXGA LCD (by IDTECH). the lcd has got a crack on it and i have to replace it. the brand new from IBM is too expensive. but I found some on Ebay which are the same 15.0" UXGA (one even by IDTECH but from a different laptop). can any one tell me that if will fit. because i don't want to buy then it will not fit.

No you cant becuse it's for a specific model.

You might get better answers if you were a bit more specific. You need to look at the manufacturer's part numbers, dimensions, etc. Contacting IDTECH might be a good idea.
