Got t22 of ebay password protected bios

#1 Post by Maxjusticezero » Tue Oct 26, 2004 5:40 pm

Is it worth it to take it to a shop and have them unlock it or jsut drop in another mb. there are plenty of them on ebay and its not that hard or so it would seem since its smaller than my 770 and i replaced the mb on that twice. If you know the going price for a shop to do it let me know so i can get an idea.

thanks
tom

I don't a think shop will do this as it would defeat the IBM security measures. Can you complain to the seller on e-bay? Did they describe the computer as functioning?

You can unlock it yourself for a little bit of work and a few bucks:

I used this method to unlock my T23 and it worked great.
