If you are upgrading from one version 4.xx to a newer 4.xx, this is not a problem. You uninstall the older version of Access Connections and choose the default "Uninstall ThinkVantage Access Connections only" not "Uninstall ThinkVantage Access Connections and location profiles". When you install the newer version of Access Connections, your location profiles are already set up. You do not have to import or do anything. 8)

If you are upgrading from version 3.xx to version 4.xx, you might be better off just writing down your profile information and creating new profiles in version 4.xx. Of course you could try the Export/Import method first, but if your profiles do not work properly, you can recreate them from your written list.

In the Access Connections readme file it states the following.
4. Import/Export location profile for wireless adapter
------------------------------------------------------
Access Connections allows you to import/export location profile for
wireless adapter. However, function is limited not to export "WEP Key"
due to keep security as much as possible. If location profile for
wireless adapter is imported, it is required to input "WEP Key" again.
You do not need Export/Import if you tell Access Connections to not delete your location profiles when you uninstall it. At least this has been my experience. Then again, I really don't use WEP - I use WPA-PSK.
