Access Connections 3.30 causing trouble

#1 Post by admsteiner » Wed Oct 27, 2004 1:08 pm

Hey guys,

I recently upgraded from Access Connections 3.1. I'm running XP Pro SP1 with the Intel 2200BG card. Now, whenever I try to use AC to "Find a Wireless Network" it shows;
a) mostly those with encryption enabled
b) incomplete SSIDs
c) incomplete MAC addresses

Note that with b and c, I've used Netstumbler and can't find anything with that SSID or MAC address (and no non-broadcast SSIDs showed up).
I first installed AC 3.30 over 3.1. After noticing the problems, I uninstalled both and reinstalled 3.30. I'm still having the problems.

Although happy with 3.1, I had to move to 3.30 because it allows for using a temporary userID/password for PEAP using MS-CHAP-V2 (when I would enter my username and password it wouldn't let me connect, but 3.30 does allow me to connect).

Ideas, thoughts?

Thanks,
Adam
