Is there any way to use other (than the ibm supplied) dvd burners with T4x?
I am aware of the slim USB burners, but I am still looking to find an internal dvd burner. Newegg has some faster and cheeper internal laptop dvd
burners, but would these fit T4x? I've read some posts about people successfully using these burners with other brands of laptops by attaching the
original optical drive rails to the dvd burner, but I am not sure if this is possible with the thinkpads.
using different dvd burner?
Generally, the answer to that would be "no" if you have an ultraslim bay. I don't think anyone but IBM uses that form factor. If you just have an Ultrabay there may be some way to do that though.
