T40p, matrix and lack of 24bits/32bits (???)

Hi.

Today i bought T40p. It's a replacement for my T40.
Everything looks good, but...

http://termit.ie.tu.koszalin.pl/~venro/t40p/blue.jpg (sample, that was used)

My camera isn't too good, but i think it catch the problem.
It's like my matrix was something in between 16 and 24 bits.
In settings it's 32 bits and 50Hz. Drivers are from "Software Installer". As You can see on the external monitor it's ok. On every resolution it's the same color problem.

Although I'm not in graphics, but it's just isn't pretty.

Is it normal for that model? And if 'yes', does eg. T43p has the same issue?

Hmmm........ doesn't look right. Are you shure you have the correct (or latest) video driver installed? I agree it looks like 16 bit color depth.

Thanks for the tip.

After playing with it about 2h ...

Drivers from ibm.com have this problem, but let's say this one:

...is much better.

I was trying to find one in www.ati.com , but there is a challenge to find anything for old chipsets. Only for radeon 9000, without mobile.

ATI chipset is damage, not very good.

So for users in forum, please don't relate this topic to yours drivers problem.
