well you got spyware. It's selling Anti-Spyware because they purposely infected you so you can buy their products.
Install Windows Defender or SpyBot Search and Destroy or any other flavor spyware killer app (OBVIOUSLY - not theirs because that would just validate their point)

Seems like you got some sort of malware/spyware on your computer. You could probably manage to delete it manually by checking your task manager and try to find the process. When you find it then kill the process and check your registry for items that start up manually and remove those items related to this crap. Also search your harddisk to delete the files. Some could be hard to find and remove though.
If you don't know how to do that or would like a easier solution you could download some anti spyware that will most likely detect and remove whatever it is. I don't use any anti spyware application so not what is the best. I guess someone could probably give you advice for a good anti spyware application. There are several available that is free as well.

... another (free and highly recommended!) option is simply to run the on-line viruses, spyware, and other malware scanner: Trend Housecall - but is require that you have a resonably speedy internet connection (in other words, not very fun via modem!).
I have used it several times, and it has helped me out of various virus and spyware issues. Still, I second the above suggestion about installing the free and very good anti-spyware tool: SpyBot - remember to update it and to run it from time to time.
Good luck with the cleaning, I know for sure how bloody irritating that kind of stuff can be!!
Best regards,
Johan

I use Spybot as well.
To effectively remove any spyware, it is better to run the scan in Windows SAFE MODE. First install the antispyware software, then let the software search and apply any updates, then reboot into SAFE MODE (press F8 at the beginning of the boot sequence) and run the scan.
Depending upon what you have, you may need to run other software to actually get rid of the spyware. Additionally, sometimes spyware removal can damage the Winsock, necessitating a repair of the Winsock. If you have trouble connecting to the internet after the spyware removal, then try the repair below.

STILL NO CHAnge
Ive downloaded spybot and windows defender and the virus or bug still remains. Annoying blinking X-shield on bottom right on the screen which when clicked leads me to a Virus Protect Pro website.
Its also affecting the way i surf for example. if i searched SONY on google. It will give me alot of results right the first of which is the Official website but when i click that it redirects me to another website which is not even close to the sony, so i press back and re-click and it jumps to another website. I have to this several time before i actually get to the Sony website!
Help me !!!!!!! its driving me crazy.

Re: STILL NO CHAnge
It could seem as if you are troubled by the trojan Zlob in form of "Virus Protect Pro", so use Google to search for "Virus Protect Pro" + removal and try the tools you find that way According to e.g. this thread there are free tools available which will cure the problem. Also this thread will point you to a solution. Check free Zlob removal tools as well.jusjay wrote:... bug still remains. Let's hear if this works out! Google is your friend...

I have posted the following in other threads :
A number of the anti-virus programs will not find this type of infection.
If I had to fix this (and I have fixed a number of things like this for family, friends, neighbors, etc), I would start by running all of the following free anti-crapware software :
- SpywareBlaster
- Spybot
- Ad-Aware
- AVG Anti-Spyware
- AVG Anti-Rootkit
- Super AntiSpyware
No single product will find and fix everything bad that's out there. That's why I always run all of the above products.
What anti-virus software are you currently using?
