Replacing individual keys on T40 keyboard - photos please!

#1 Post by Robbyrobot » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:50 am

The subject replacement is described as difficult to impossible in various threads, and occasionally a description of how someone accomplished it is added. But the descriptions all suffer from the difficulty of naming parts understandably, and although one picture is worth a thousand (or more) words, none of the threads I've found include any pictures of key replacements.

So I wonder if anyone has ever photographed such a replacement, showing details of the structure and mounting of the keys, since that would be very useful to those of us who might have to make an attempt.

How about posting it? Or if that's a problem, let me know (PM) and you could send it to me as an email attachment.

Fascinating and at least some help, but more details would be required. Thanks for the tip.
