Another Update Connector question

When I first installed UC 6.1 it ran fine. It now gets stuck on the splash screen, and just hangs until I kill javaw.exe. I tried rolling back to UC 5.32, then re-installed 6.1 but the problem persisted in both cases.

Any suggestions? I can live without UC, but would like to figure out the problem...it's annoying.

the update connector never worked smoothly for me.
So I just check the ibm website......

I still use Access Support. It takes me straight to the driver matrices page and I download anything I need from there.
Furthermore, Update Connector is too slow and not accurate. The last time I checked, it still thought I should update to a particular Audio driver when I already had a later version installed. Not one of IBM's better applications if you ask me.

me too update connector always act weird on T30. latest Access connector didn't work right with mcafee antivirus 8i also. i hope IBM still offer pervious version of Access connector to download. So i can downgrade

I recently bought a T42 2378 FVU and used IBM Update connector for only once. The next time it just hang for ever with splash screen. My version is 6.1. It stoped working for me. I reinstalled it from IBM tools folder but the problem persists.
