T42 memory location??

Hello all,
I have a T42 and I thought I had read that there are two dimm memory sockets? I am only able to find one socket under the laptop.

I had taken the keyboard off, changed the wireless card from b/g to an a/b/g, and did not see any memory socket.

Did I miss something?

well you must be blind The second one is under the keyboard up by the Power Button. It's right beside the modem/bluetooth daugther card.

All details about DIMM sockets etc. are found in the ThinkPad Computer Hardware Maintenance Manual February (T40/p,T41/p,T42/p) - 2006.

If you turn to Lenovo's "Parts Information" page and enter your model number, you'll find all part numbers and movies (see the Movie matrices - Notebooks etc. showing how to add or replace e.g. your RAM). Also, you may want to visit the Lenovo Service parts list index - ThinkPad .

I had found the location under the keyboard. It was hidden with some ribbon cables. I have installed one 1gb memory.
