Where does the air go in?

I live in a fairly dusty environment, and my ThinkPad's externals shows quite obvious signs of that. But what I'm worried about is the internals. Now, the vent on the left next to the cardbus slows is where the air comes out, but where exactly does the air go in? I'm just interested, to see if I can make sure that the area around there is as dust free as possible.

Oh, and I guess I should probably ask what are some effective strategies for cleaning dust off your TP? I'm not particularly keen on taking mine apart, 'coz I'm sure something will go horribly wrong and I'll be left with a dead TP.

Look at the back of your TP. Air is sucked in there.

If you look at the exhaust vent on the left side of the machine, you'll notice a set of small louvers above the audio connectors.

The small louvers are the air inlet, the large louvers are the exhaust.
