Recovery CD's

Time flies. I always order and get them. I sold my T23 a while back, and have it just now because the hard drive failed. Under warranty, and I am setting it up for my friend.

A22e: 1CD
T23: 2 CD's
T30: 3 CD's
T41: 5 CD's

And the T23 is a P3 - it runs hot!

I had forgotten just how cool and quiet my T41 runs.

the t40 sereies is 4 cds

if i download and install the approx 400mb R&R from IBM's website then install it on an older machine (X21/T21), will i be able to create recovery cds from it even though the machine wont have a recovery image etc?
