Anybody have ThinkPad Mainteneance Diskette 1.72

#1 Post by piusg » Fri Sep 28, 2007 8:54 am

Hey gang!

I replaced the planar in my T40 the other night (the USB ports stopped working). Now I need to reset the UUID and serial number in the CMOS, but I have an older version of the maintenance diskette which doesn't work on my T40.

Lenovo requires you to be a partner these days before they'll let you have the latest maintenance diskette. You'd think you were asking them for some plutonium or something.

I was hoping someone here had a copy.

Can anyone help out a former Beemer?

Cheers!

See the thread T43P - Incorrect serial number in bios (I assume) and see if that isn't going to get you what you need! :-)

Best regards,

Johan

Why would say it's the greatest? what makes it the greatest?

Because the older versions are not compatible with the newest machines (e.g. T61 which requires 1.75).
