After reading the Thinkwiki guide and staring at it confused, I went out and bought myself a 10 pack of floppies and loaded one into my desktop. After that I took the diskette image for my T43 and extracted it onto the floppy. Now I messed around in Nero trying to figure out how in the world I'd write a floppy image until I felt stupid and read that I had to go the bootable CD section of Nero. After that I had Nero copy the stuff from my floppy drive and write onto random 4x CD-RW I had lying around. I then proceeded to insert that CD-RW into my T43 and reset it, which led me to the BIOS flashing screen.
For anyone who has been having issues with the IBM program that only leads to their T43 resetting without a BIOS flash, you might want to try this.
Found an easier method to flash BIOS through CD
