Looking to add an SXGA screen to a T41

#1 Post by nikemen » Thu Oct 04, 2007 2:28 pm

I have been looking to upgrade the screen on an older lappy, are there any differances in screens to be concerned with? I see some listed on ebay as the Samsung panels, LTN141P4-L02

does anyone know if this a good part or were there better screens to be had out there?

Assuming you have a 14" machine, the brands are samsung and ID Tech. Most people think the ID Tech screens are a little better, but if you are buying a used screen, the most important thing is the condition. Both will work. If you are buying a used screen, it would be easier if you got the whole assembly, because you need a different cable. If you buy a used assembly, the seller probably won't know the brand of the panel, unless he needed to take it out of the frame. I think I have a 14" T41 screen around that also has a bluetooth antenna. If you are interested, send me a private note. (I also have a bluetooth modem)
