The fan in my T41p is becoming increasingly loud, so I suspect the bearings (or whatever) are failing. Lenovo's site indicate that this is not a CRU, so there is no way to buy it from them. How do I go about ordering it? I've found several places that seem to carry it, but they don't indicate whether it's a factory-sealed unit or whether it's a refurbished one.
Thanks

"The part you need is 41W5204. (This is a substitute for 13R2657, which is no longer available). "
Lenovo Parts Order
By the way, ordering a service part from Lenovo has nothing to do with it being a CRU or not.

As a rule, these fans don't wear out. Yours, and a couple of others on this board, are probably the exception. You can get a replacement much cheaper on ebay and it should last just fine.

I bought that one to replace my dead fan assembly. They delivered it on-time. Part is Used/Reconditioned but in excelent condition (no dust, no dirt). It looked bright and smelled like new. Bought it 1 year ago and its working quietly no problems.
