Check your IDE channel and make sure that they are not set to PIO, if it is, then your system will slow down greatly. My T42P was doing this, it tool more than 5 minutes to fully boot up. Here is a link on how to reset the IDE channel back to UDMA and now my machine is running much much better.

I’ve check the device manager and its DMA enable, it not the setting… just seem slower than my other t41, haven’t time the difference but I was thinking it may be the driver for the fingerprint. But just for fun.. I’ll boot my t41 and the t43p and see how much longer. The longest wait time is at the screen “loading your personal setting”…once it loaded, it run fine… Thanks for the link..

Its good that your machine does not have the PIO bug, mine was and it was painfully slow in booting, coming out of hibernation, going into hibernation and mostly every time the machine had to go to a swap file. I was able to get back to UDMA and it is now just as fast as my T60 for work. I am amazed with the kinds of bugs that come out of Micro$oft...

I think it may be my video drivers, but not gona worry about it anymore.. but i figure out reason why my wireless wifi don't work or just take a long time to turn on.. it because of my bluetooth radio signal is on ... so i turn off the bluetooth and now boot (still long) and wireless work.. am gona leave it alone for now until one day gona blast it away and reinstall Windows, meantime waiting for a copy of the windows.
