Will the "IBM message center" alert me to new driv

...or just the usual meaningless "Do more with your Thinkpad!" type messages?

Which options do I need to enable to make this happen?

I wouldn't mind getting a note when new drivers are released, but otherwise, I think the message center's not really that useful to me.

Just check "Get IBM support messages for my computer" and the type of messages you want to receive under the Preferences. Don't forget to enter your machine type number (4 digits) and the OS you have. Once you set it up, you will get new driver notifications with a little delay (about 1 week).
