What to look out for when purchasing suitable rams and HDD?

#1 Post by Murcielago » Thu Oct 18, 2007 10:26 am

guys, i bought a new t43 of an commercial auction for bankrupt companies and I am wondering what is the maximum capacity of rams I can slot in and the speeds of the rams

the model is 2668-6na

can i get 2x1GB of 667mhz rams ? and I can use any laptop rams right?

as for harddrives, i remembered some thread stating certain brands of HDD might have compatibility issues. then what about capacity and speed(5400rpm and 7200rpm)

how do i copy the recovery portion of the existing harddrive should i get a new HDD? do i connect to an external casing and clone the HDD?

thanks to all for the patience in reading my lengthy post.

No, the T43 uses PATA drives. See this sticky for information about using non-Thinkpad option drives in T43's:
