restore to factory image question
restore to factory image question
I'm usring the latest version of rapid recovery - If i choose to restore to factory image is it the identical image that was on it right out of the box? or is it just a functional image of windows xp, but lacking in preinstalled drivers, ibm utilities and software, etc... I know most of the software can be installed manually as they are all in a directory on the recovery cd, but it would be preferable to me if the factory image were 100% identical to out of box status. Thanks to anyone that can help.
thanks - about 5 min after i posted i decided to just go ahead and try it. It does bring you back to out of the box status - and it also says that it will wipe out all partitions in the process. I read in some other posts that you are given the option to choose a partition when restoring factory image, but i was never given that option.
