I have a TP t42 1.6ghz, 512mb 40gb system. The dvd drive operates perfectly and ejects etc smoothly, however when i look at it it appears to be wonky/misaligned. The drive appears to be tilting to the right so that there is a quite signifficant gap at the top right where the drive meets the casing of the TP. Is this normal?? I would greatly appreciate some pics of some of the user's TP dvd drives from t42s and i would also like to know if this problem might ever affect performance.
Cheers!

Completely normal. I have heard it said that it is there because of the HD adapter thing. I guess it's a bit bigger than the drives, so the slot has to be a little bigger, which causes a gap when you are using something other than that.
Both T42s I've had had it exactly the same, and every picture I've seen had it also.
