Just got my 2379DXU - where is bluetooth on here?

#1 Post by Bitterman » Thu May 27, 2004 1:43 pm

Hey all,

I just got my thinkpad, and all seems to be well. If you have any questions about the 2379DXU feel free to ask. So far I am very pleased.

Only one thing... how can I verify that I have bluetooth? I don't know what to check. I can't seem to find anything about it on the machine... but the box says this model has it. I just want to verify it. I checked the hardware listing (whatever that is called) and didn't see it.

Any help would be great.

Press Fn+F5. There should be an option to turn on the Bluetooth radio. Also, if there is a Bluetooth logo/icon next to the wireless icon underneath the screen, that means it has Bluetooth.

Thanks,

Great,

Thanks for the help... I was starting to doubt my packing slip. But indeed bluetooth is on here, and all is well.

thanks again,

Yeah... the TABOOK seems to be godlike in its omniscience -so that is a good thing. Once I found the bluetooth, all the specs checked out.

As for my screen... I haven't found any dead pixels yet, and none are stuck on. So I think I lucked out. We'll see if it stays that way.

We tried to tell everyone that from the beginning, but there are unbelievers here yet! ;-)
