Thanks for the information. I am sure the long fan will cool ok.

Will the long fan from the T43p fit in a T41 without any trouble was my question.

Brad, I too bought a long fan (M24) for the T41 here. It goes right in place ok just like the short fan BUT the GPU section of the heat sink does NOT touch the ATI 7500 chips on my machine. Does it on yours? I also wonder if the 9000 series chips are thicker?

The fan question was actually not for me. Someone with a T41 needs a fan and all I have is the T43p fan which is the M24 long fan.

My question pertained mainly to fitment. If the fan could actually be installed with any issues.

Thanks

Typical temperatures on the 7500 GPU reach about 55-60C. You could put a cooper piece between the GPU heatsink and the GPU core. Extreme modding this is

I am planning to replace my M10 longfan with an M24 long fan from the T43p .... will there be an issue on the fan noise as the M24 has a more powerful fan and a larger heatsink area for GPU chip ? .... thanks
