T42 battery meter always reads 99%
My battery meter always reads 99% on battery power. The meter never moves from 99% no matter how long I have been using it off of AC power. I'm using windows xp pro with service pack 2. Any ideas?

This seems to be normal. I have had this in T2x, T3x and now T40.
Usually after reboot it returns to 100%, if AC was plugged in.

Manually uninstall whatver version of Power Manager you have in place and install the current version from the Lenovo T42 support pages.mgrt67 wrote:Any ideas?
If you still have the problem after that, I'd try another battery if at all possible.
