Was I not suppose to do this to my monitor?

#1 Post by songman » Tue Nov 09, 2004 9:13 pm

My T42 came today. And so i ran to local stationary to pick up some clear sheet. THey didn't have any so I bought Transparentcy sheet and brought it home. As soon as I brought the sheet near the monitor it sucked it up due to static electricity. NOw it's on the monitor. It fits ok with bit of gap on the edge(it was 1/4" not wide enough) the hight was perfect.

Now, WOuld this hurt my monitor?

SOme of you might ask, WHy in the world would you do somthing like this. Well, I kind of like the look with bit of glare. And I really hate to see the dusts from getting on this beautiful monitor.

Let me know guys. THanks

Sounds like NuShield. If you don't like dust collecting on your display get yourself a Fellowes Perfect Clean Cloth. It's a very soft cloth, the kind you would clean eyeglasses with. I use it on all of my LCD displays.

RadTech ScreensavRz for 14-17" standard size:

protects your screen from the touchpoint
protects your screen from the keyboard
and can be used to clean the screen/dust it.

I bought one, $13.95 + shipping. Excellent investment.
