Yes. I find, though, that every once in a while on my T30 when I had it, and now on my T41 (imaged twice), that the pesky icon returns. I have to remove it manually. That bug has survived all UltraNav updates, BIOS updates and computers themselves. :) ... JDHurst

??, never had that. The files are SynTPEnh and SynTPLpr, but I believe it is for trackpoint and touchpad, don´t know if they are independent or not. Try it.

Yes, the Systray does have a will of it's own. Actually the whole taskbar does: From time to time the quicklaunch is gone at startup, and I have to reactivate it manually.
The thing that bugs me most is that all the icons are messed up and I have to reorder them again each time...

Maybe it´s time for a fresh installation.

Joking aside, I believe that must bother you very much, post it in the windows section, good luck.

Right-click on the systray, and choose Customize Notifications, and set it to always hide that icon...I have things I don't really use very often always hidden, like my antivirus icon, ThinkPad manager, etc, and things I do use a lot, like Access Connections, always visible.

I don't think the removal of the UltraNav icon saves any system resources, as it's still running in the background, so hiding it seems like a viable option.
