IBM's order status web page is screwy

When I ordered my Thinkpad T42 (2379R9U) on Oct 6th the original shipping date was 11/15. Since than the shipping date has changed several times, from as early as 10/26 to the latest quote as of a few days ago, 11/19. Since I was going to be out of state most of that time I gave the shipping address where I was staying. When I saw that the date changed to 11/19 a few days ago while I was still away I called IBM to try and get a better handle on when it would ship. I was told that it would probably be even later than that since the model was listed as back ordered.
So I came home a couple of days ago and didn't change the shipping address immediately figuring I have time considering what I was told on the phone and what the web site still said. Just a few minutes ago I figured I'd call to have the shipping address changed and guess what, it shipped out this morning! The shipping status on IBM's site still says 11/19 as of right now.
The moral of the story? Don't trust IBM's order status site for an accurate read on your shipping date, and make sure you give an address where you'll be to accept it!

Its the way it has always been. The date can change wildly but most the time you will get you TP before they told you.
