IBM mouse doesn't work with T40

Hi,

I have an IBM optical mouse for USB port, model MO32BO (IBM FRU pin 24P0497). It does work fine with my 600E, but I can't make it work with my T40 (both systems running on Win XP Pro). In T40 appears this message whenever I connect it:

"! USB Device Not Recognized".


What do you think might be happening and how can I solve this issue?
