using rescue recovery without hidden partiton

#1 Post by mattatec » Mon Nov 15, 2004 12:35 pm

hi,
i am re-installing to a new hard drive on my t42, i plan to do a fresh install, deleting the hidden partiton.
i was wondering if i could then install the new rescue recovery v2 program with out having to create the back-up partition again. i just want to use it for backing up the new system i'm about to configure (to cd and usb hard drive).
has any one done this?
or does the program require (or even worse, create) the hidden rescue partition?
also if any one has any tips on which pre-loaded software i should get rid of, or which i should keep, that would also be appreciated.

cheers, in advance for any reply.

No Problem, works fine. Without the HPA Predesktop Area R&R installs in a hidden folder on the c:\ partition.
