At the moment on eBay there are a few T40, T41, T42, T43 spares for sale. This auction ends in 4 days 18 hours, 16-Dec-07 so you have plenty of time to think about it.
The items are listed, 6-7 motherboards, some screens & keyboards.
It states that the motherboards may range from T40-T43 and that there are a few screens, have a look for yourself.

Now my question to you, or too the willing is thus.
Is there persons on here willing to unite as a 'buying group' so that we could reduce the over all costs of possible failure.
See the thing is I don't want to bid up to £40-80 / €55-110 / $80-160 on possibility of not everything working. But if a few of us are willing to pay £5 / €7 / $10 for a part as an example then all of our buying power would increase & lower whatever risk of possible non working parts. As he does state to assume them as faulty. I am only looking for one working T43/T42 motherboard and out of them there may be a few.
Now here is where the group part possibility come in. Lets say (e.g) BillMorrow wanted one screen or some parts of the screen, inverter, casing, etc and was willing to pay £10 / €14 / $20 for this, so he would add his bit, someone else would do the same & over all, well I expect you see what I am getting too.
The auction is listed in the UK and lets say you did want to contribute this this is how I plan to go about it. I will accept Paypal payments but not complete/receive the money until Z person had their item/s. I will fork out the £18 for shipping, each item I send the buyer they will have to pay for his own individual postage costs.
As your aware of its coming to Xmas and money is tight, but I am looking to upgrade my T42 as my xmas pressy to me! But wanted to keep cost & risk down. I am willing to pay £15 / €20 / $40 for a possible working system board. I have recently sold two system board to users of the forum who can vouch for my creditability. This would start off the bidding at £15. Anyone else care too join in?
So what say you people?
Questions and comments are welcome.
Regards,
all0gIc.
