Hello everyone.
I feel kinda dumb after doing this, but I've just made a very impulsive purchase on a buy.com discounted item...
Kingston 1GB PC2-5300 667MHz 200-pin SO-DIMM DDR2 Laptop Memory
thinking that it should be a good & cheap RAM upgrade for my T42.
And as i was looking at the confirmation email, I realized I hadn't even check the spec on the item. (I must have been really sleepy or something >.<)
I know the standard RAM on the machine is PC2700 333MHz.
So would it be a bad idea to even try to install the RAM i just bought? or would it actually work?
If no one has done anything like this before, I guess I could be the guinea pig?
question on RAM upgrade... because of a careless purchase
