T40 have problem with screen that falls out
Sometimes the screen gets black or looks funny on my T40 2373-14g
It's seems to happen when i grab it with my hand.
I'm "grabbing" in the left corner under Fn,ctrl and alt tab.
Is it because og the graphic card is at this place?

have a look at the sticky "t42 shuts down when i move it" at the top of the T4* forum. I know it says T42, but it is probably more than relevant for what you are experiencing
T61p 6460-67G; 15,4 WSXGA+ W7P x64, no hairdryer.
T43p 2668-G2G, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, internal hairdryer
T23 2647-9LG, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, no hairdryer

I have read and been following the thread "T42 skuts down" but it seems that my problem is diff. or maybe my english is'nt good enough to understand the tread.
But mine is'nt shuting down. I just get black screen.
It normally happens when i move the laptop and not only by grabbing in the corner.
When the black screen ist there i some times can get the picture back by hitting the screen with my hand (not hard of course
Could it be that my problem is a loose connection maybe ???

I'm danish. Sorry for my sometimes bad english spelling and understanding.
If decide to, but don't feel OK about attempting a repair on your ThinkPad on your own, I recommend to contact forum.thinkpads.com user jjames55 (Jesper James) - see his advertisement here - and now that you know his name, and that he live in Borup, you may use Krak.dk to find out how to contact him!

In the upper left corner is the LCD cable connector. This is accessible by removing the KB. With the KB removed but connected and the machine on, press the connector to see if the connector or the cable is broken.

Good idea; have a look for yourself first. If you need "inspiration" about how to open your ThinkPad, have a look in the Hardware removal and installation - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p, T43/p - Movie Index.
I guess you already are well past the information in the Service and Troubleshooting Guide - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p, T43/p but you may find the ultimate, everything-including reference about your ThinkPad here --> Hardware Maintenance Manual - ThinkPad T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p - go get it!!
Best of luck with the repair...
