Strange battery monitor behaviour

So, after installing the latest battery montior, I have reported that the ICONS for battery and AC power are now smaller, but what is strange is that the percentage remaining is now inconsistant with the Windows based batter monitor.

The BM program says, for example, 97% remaining and 02:56 minutes.

The onboard program, so the battery icon in the TASK BAR, shows 51% remainging and 02:49 minutes.

Any reason why they would be so differant?

Could it be historical swapping of 9 cell and 6 cell batteries,

is there a way to fix this?
