Takin' The Plunge
Takin' The Plunge
Well, I've resisted for as long as I can. I finally got a fresh copy of Win XP Pro and am all set to update my T23. I've got all updates installed, and I've ghosted my current config. Any tips or things to watch out for? TIA.

Bad idea
Upgrades are ALWAYS trouble. I'd download the IBM drivers, then back up your data and WIPE THE HARD DISK. Do a clean install, or nothing at all.mr_lucky wrote:Doh! Forgot to mention it's an upgrade, not a clean install.

Never do an OS upgrade unless there is absolutely no other choice available.

Always do clean install. Bill hasn't engineered a good upgrade process yet. You'll likely have trouble down the road that way. It only takes a few more minutes for clean install. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
