Need help! T22 screen dead.
I was having trouble with my T22 LCD as the screen was flashing in and out (changing colors...red, purple/aqua. If I opened and closed the lid a few times the screen would clear for a while. However, the screen is now completely dead. I replaced the inverter module (10L1402) but nothing changed. Any ideas?

Hmm, were the colors really changing and "going crazy" or was there just a (possibly flickering) uniform red/pink tint to the picture (as I suspected), which could indeed indicate a failing backlight?egibbs wrote:Definitely the cable.
The inverter or backlight would only make the screen very dark. If the colors are going crazy and moving the lid changes it you need a cable.
What does the screen look like now? When the computer is turned on in complete darkness, is there at least some minimal brightness coming from the panel?
Also take a close look at the screen, under different light conditions: Connect the computer to an external screen and let the system display an image with some easily recognizable b/w patterns. Switch to the internal TFT again and inspect it closely. Can you see anything on the screen, under different angles?
If the screen looked scrambled before the light went out completely, however (weird colors and so on), I'd say it's either the display cable or some bad soldering inside of the panel.
