Starting fresh

#1 Post by manny » Fri Dec 28, 2007 7:43 am

I am fed up of my T43 not being able to shutdown/powerdown/hibernate. It is also sluggish and slow. I am planning to wipe it clean and reinstall XP, and perhaps leave open the possibility of installing Linux as a second Operating System. Can anyone give me a quick procedure of how I should go about wiping everything and starting fresh?

There is an option on bootup to do a recovery and wipe out the hard drive to do a fresh install.

Yep, just press the blue button at startup, and restore to factory. Many Linux distributions can shrink your Windows partition during installations, and also configure dual-boot for you, making it dead easy.
