Wider or taller?

#1 Post by sikpupy » Fri Dec 28, 2007 6:51 pm

Okay, I cant find a good enough picture, be it single unit or side by side comparison, to tell if a 14" T43 laptop screen is wider or taller, with the unit open. Now, seeing as how there are 2 different laptop keyboards, or is that for the R52 only?, I would have to say it is wider. Every picture I come across shows it looking taller? Lenovo site says

System with 14.1inch display:
Width: 311 mm (12.2 in)
Depth: 255 mm (10.0 in)
26.6 to 31 mm (1.0 to 1.2 in)
Configured system weight (with DVD-ROM or CD-ROM): 2.22 kg (4.9 lb)
System with 15inch display:

Width: 329 mm (13.0 in)
Depth: 268 mm (10.6 in)
Height: 31 to 36mm (1.2 to 1.4in)
Configured system weight (with DVD-ROM or CD-ROM): 2.57 kg (5.7

I am assuming "width" is left to right with the laptop open?

Would someone please clarify so I dont think I am off my rocker, which I am. Anyone got a gooooood T43 side by side picture comparison, lol???

It is mostly wider. Front-to-back is almost the same. The didderent keyboard is not related It only involves the mounting screws. Both 14" and 15" models use the same motherboard, so the keyboard mounting is different to take care of screw locations
