#1 Post by ThinkPad » Mon Nov 22, 2004 12:35 am

You don't need the drivers...the Windows driver is installed automatically. You need a DVD player (software) such as PowerDVD (the one I recommend), WinDVD, etc. If you install one of these, the decryptor for the DVD is installed along with it. Do a search here for the best DVD Player and you'll find some...there are some that are free too.

I did a search and most of the softwares (ones you recommend as well) are only on a trial basis and require you to pay after a given period :?

Also I just found out most of the "free" players may have spyware along with the install.

Or this:

www.videolan.org

It's small, too, and reads almost all formats available. It's free as well.

For the Media Player Classic (the one monte recommended), there is also a RealPlayer alternative! This means you don't have to install the annoying and intrusive RealPlayer software anymore. It also looks nicer than VLC (videolan client).
