upgrading BIOS splash

#1 Post by sojourner » Thu Jan 10, 2008 9:33 am

Followed this post to upgrade the BIOS splash on my T41:
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... ios+splash

All went well and it is NICE to see my name plastered on the boot screen; helps provide some satisfaction knowing if it is ever stolen the new user will see MY name

Of course, if it is lost and the person finding it is honest, the email address on the splash will provide a means for them to contacted me! (for this reason others may want to consider custom splashes as well)

But there are questions:
The link above shows splash screens with the Centrino and ATI logo's. The system here is not Centrino but with IBM's standard splash the INTEL logo appears. Intels logo does not appear with my custom splash. Does anyone know if the Intel logo has to be imbedded in a custom splash or are logos supposed to 'bleed' through?
