Help - T41 Wireless issue

#1 Post by bobditty » Thu Jan 10, 2008 11:13 pm

This is the problem that I'm having. I just reinstalled with the IBM System recovery disks on my T41. Everything appears to be back up with the exception of my wireless card. It is selected as on in the bios. I have downloaded what are, I believe, to be the latest drivers (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 62922.html) but still nothing. When I choose fn-f5, I only see the Bluetooth option.

When I delete my network adapter in the Device manager and then scan hardware, the Network adapter comes back with 'Intel Pro
Any ideas? It just doesn't appear to see my card. The card was /1000 MT Mobile Connection' and nothing else. Under that, it has Other devices and 'Ethernet controller' has a question mark over it. Won't let me update the driver for that Ethernet. I did update the driver for the Network Adapter.

This was just working before my hard drive (I believe) had problems so I think my hardware "should" be fine. I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled with the 5 cds from IBM.

Please help. Thank you!

Look in C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\XP\Drivers see if there is an .exe file called iProdifx.exe and run that.

Under the C:\drivers\win directory, I only have EHTERNET and WLLANATH folders.

I did a search for that file under the C:\drivers\win folders and did not see it either.

Have you installed the wireless driver, the driver that you point to is for the lan port.

Check the driver matrix page http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 8#Wireless and see which driver you need for you particular card. Check device manager under network adapters, you should have two.
