Purchasing from the US IBM website from Canada

I am currently located in Canada and would like to buy a T42 from the US IBM website. The only problem I have is with shipping. Since I don't have a permament address in the states, I would like to pick it up at an IBM store in Buffalo. I would like to know if IBM would be willing to do this and whether or not anyone has had experience with buying from the USA site from Canada.

No such thing as an IBM store. If there was you wouldnt have to buy it online, you could just go to the store and buy one. If you search you will find other threads on this. I seem to recall something about some border post office places making arrangements. Good luck.

As far as I know the address on your credit card needs to match the shipping address. I too would suggest talking to Bill - be careful about shipping options, however. USPS Global Express can be insured and costs less than UPS or Fedex (both of which charge ~$30 USD for brokerage fees alone on ground shipping).
