T43 Flexview window shadows
I am taking a look at the 15" SXGA+ Flexview LCD on my dad's T43, and aside from the normal bottom-right dark area, there are lines that are visible extending down from the sides of windows I have open. The area under the window is also a noticably brighter color.
Is this normal for a Flexview display? It reminds me of something a passive matrix LCD would do.

That doesn't sound right whatsoever. You may want to take a couple of shots and post some links to them, and we can take it from there...

It is hard to get a picture of, but this is the best I got:

You can see the vertical line extending from the edge of the window, and the difference in color under the window and elsewhere. It's more prominent in person, though.

First, I assume you are running XP and not Vista. I would like you to run some sort of monitor test that runs outside windows to make sure it isn't some sort of "feature", like an effect. I like this one, but it needs to be on a floppy or bootable CD:

Also, you can run PC Doctor from the recovery partition.
