I have found recently that if I suspend XP (FN F4) while a wireless session is open, it sometimes the LAN session doesn't reconnect doesn't when I resume, and the only way to recover full wireless function is to do a complete HDD restore.
On resume, the green wireless light on keyboard says wireless is still functioning (usually it flashes), but Access Connections (AC) v4.41 says that wireless is OFF, and it cannot turn it on - and the wireless link is actually broken.
I've tried updating AC to 4.42 which required these updates: drivers for my mini-PCI 2100 3b wireless adaptor to 1.2.4.35 or later, T/P hotkey features to 1.24.0603 or later, power mgt (ACPI) drivers to 1.42. I also checked that the WIRED Intel PRO/100/1000 MT mobile LAN adapter connection had the correct latest driver (build 135400).
BIOS is at 3.21 , latest is 3.23 but I'm reluctant to update BIOS just for this - everything else is OK.
After I'd finished all these updates, NEITHER wired LAN NOR wireless LAN worked at all
Any ideas please? Perhaps I missed a vital driver upgrade, or perhaps a recent Microsoft Update may have disturbed something?
