More than 1GB RAM in x41 type 2527?

#1 Post by samxmas888 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 1:36 pm

Hi, I recently was given an x41 type 2527.

I then bought a 200 pin 2GB DDR2 667Mhz PC2-5300 RAM SODIMM, but the system will not boot, although I've read that it should take up to 2.5GB RAM.

Any ideas/tips/tricks you guys know to get this working? :D

You may want to post this question in the x41 forum.

i thought the X4x Series supports DDR 1 (PC3200 MAX). I think you just have the wrong type of RAM since you bought DDR2.
