Good time to buy a T42?

#1 Post by IR0NMAN » Fri Nov 26, 2004 10:47 am

Hi, is right now a good time to buy a Thinkpad? I'm starting university in January and buying a thinkpad will eat most of the money I have, and would hate to see a new model come out in early 2005 for the same price.

How long is the product cycle of IBM T42s? And my model of choice is the 2378FVU, does anyone know if I should wait for a price decrease OR speed bump...

Thank you!!!

The time to buy is when you want it, unless you happen to know a new chip or model release is *IMMINENT*. I bought my 2373-KXU within a week or so (unbeknownst to me) of the Q1Us coming out but you know what, I could freakin' care less. I wanted it. I got it. I love it!
