Problems with Internet Explorer and Ultranav

#1 Post by supcomm » Fri Feb 01, 2008 11:28 am

So I have had my T61p laptop for about 1 week. I use it primarily for online gaming and some limited web surfing. I have watch 1 dvd on it. I have Norton's anti-virus running.

My problems started last night when I went to my parents house. I am using their Wireless Internet.

The problems are:

1. Internet explorer takes FOREVER to load. When I double click on the IE icon, the browser window pops up but it is blank for about 2 minutes. Then finally the home page loads and it operates normally from that point on. I have since gone to Firefox and there is no problem with that thank goodness.

2. My Ultranav Scroll (middle button) function now has a problem. It only operates in Smooth mode, it wont operate in Standard. I have gone to the Control Panel and Mouse function and tried to Apply Standard and it doesnt work. I have tried it in both Internet Explorer and Firefox and I cannot get it in Standard mode.

3. This next one is weird. In the Google Toolbar on Internet Explorer, using Ctrl-Arrow Key does not work anymore. The cursor does not move. However, in Firefox, Ctrol-Arrow Key works fine.

I have surfed for fixes but nothing has worked. I saw someone mention that it may have to do with the wireless internet connection? Clearly, these problems only arose at my parents house but I have a hard time seeing how this could be related.

Anyone have these problems or suggestions on how to fix it. Do I have to reinstall the operating system???

Can I return it to Lenovo for a new one?

Thanks for your help.
