Running Halo: Combat Evolved on 2378-FVU

#1 Post by dash7540 » Fri Nov 26, 2004 11:33 pm

I'm using the latest drivers (the ones by IBM), but when I try to run Halo I get nothing but problems.

I can't even get the main menu to load correctly; everything becomes 'corrupt': blue and white polygons are displayed instead of the familiar Halo main screen.

I have also tried the Omega drivers - they actually fix this problem, but the drivers mess up my other games so I uninstall the Omegas.

My guess is the IBM drivers just don't work with Halo, so I'm hoping an update will be out soon. Just out of curiosity, does anyone else have the same problem?

I do know that that game caused nothing but problems on plenty of computers...

There may be a patch for Halo itself.

What other games did Omega drivers cause problems in? And what kind of problems. I only had aproblem in Half-Life 2 with psychadelic colors on textures, which was fixed by turning Catalyst AI off.
