Frustrated with T40 & EZServ >:|

#1 Post by K. Eng » Sat Nov 27, 2004 12:37 pm

So I got my T40 back this morning with the sytem board replaced (for the second time in less than a year). I turn it on and it works, but I noticed that the machine seemed to be tilted a bit to the right.

A rubber foot was missing from the back right hand side! WTF?! I called up IBM to have them send me a rubber foot.

And on top of that, the RIGHT HAND (not left hand) side of my palm rest was creaking really really badly. Whoever fixed the machine tightened the screws too much, and I've spent the past 45 mins trying to adjust it. Somehow, I can't get the palmrest back to the condition it was in before I sent the machine to IBM for repair.

Yeah, I'm pretty mad that this $1900 machine has broken twice and that something as simple as a #$()@! palmrest can't seem to be adjusted properly.

:x :x :x

And it gets even better. I heard a rattling noise coming from inside the computer, like something was loose. So I opened up the keyboard and found a type 3 screw bouncing around inside.

:?

I've had it with all this crap. The question is what should I do now with this machine?
