stickers for T42 keyboard panel?

Hey all,

I badly scratched up the panel to the left of the touch pad while trying to remove the adhesive from the stickers.

Could someone recommend a site to buy some stickers that could cover my scratch? Preferably somewhere that caters to the IBM notebooks, since keyboard panels vary in size.

Also, is there anything I could buy to polish off some light scratches on my LCD?

Why not just buy a completely new palm rest for your notebook? They cost what, like 20 bucks or something. If stickers are your thing, look on eBay. I bet they have some.

In the UK they sell huge sheets of what we used to call "sticky backed plastic" or Fablon...(so who used to watch Blue Peter...)

First you look here:

From that you can easily see that the palmrest is part #20. So, then scroll down to item #20 and figure out which one you want. For instance, if you wanted a palmrest without the touchpad, you would get a 91P8399. If you wanted a normal T42 14" palmrest you would get 91P8398.

So, now that you know what you want, you head on over to:

and then type in the part # that you want. Should be as simple as that.
